Close Your Pool The COMPLETE Way!

Make your Pool Closing Complete with…

Pool Closing Complete!

When you close down your pool for the winter it is imperative to make sure that the water is as close to perfectly balanced as possible. If the water is not balanced, even though no one is swimming in the pool it can still do damage to the pool surface by causing scaling, staining, etching of gunite and wrinkles in your liner. Be sure to bring in a water sample for a free analysis a few days before your closing.

When you use BioGuard’s Arctic Blue Winter Kit and Pool Closing Complete, you’re giving your pool added protection against algae blooms, chlorine demand, scaling and staining throughout the winter. When the water is colder, it is more scale forming so it is important so have the back up that Pool Closing Complete gives as a powerful stain and scale control and enzyme cleaner.

If you’re not able to make it into the store and you have a pool closing scheduled with us, you can simply call Kelley at the store and ask her to add Pool Closing Complete to your closing and our service guys will add it to the pool for you!

You should also clean your filter media in the fall so you don’t need to worry about it in the spring. Use BioGuard’s Strip Kwik and Kleen it to get all the metals, algae, and grime out of your filter from the summer.

Strip-Kwik®

  • Removes grease and oil from filter by acting as a shampoo
  • Reduces maintenance costs
  • Works on all filter types

Kleen It®

  • Removes metal, dirt and scale from filter
  • Cleans sand, DE and cartridge filters
  • Spray or soak application

And just a note for spring…

Use Pool Opening Complete to make your spring opening easier!

  • Turns water amazingly clear
  • Removes winter filth
  • Cleans pool water
  • Works in all pool types (in-ground, above ground, saltwater)

Don’t Make This Mistake; Close Your Pool The ASAP Way!

It’s not pool_closed_sad_boyso hot anymore outside folks… time to get that pool closed!

Closing a pool can be a sad time for many families. It means trading in the cannonballs and splash competitions for snow shoveling and cold noses. If you don’t close that pool the right way though, it can make a world of a difference for the worse. No one wants to clean and maintain a pool when its 65 degrees outside. We get it. Frankly, we don’t want to do it either, but it pays our bills (we really do appreciate your business.) So, here are a few tips we’ve learned that will help you keep your pool clear and sparkling until your spring opening, the easy and convenient BioGuard way.

  1. Use the right chemicals! If the Advanced Spa & Pool service team is closing your pool this year we most definitely add shock and algaecide to help keep your pool from growing algae over the winter. We can’t circulate the pool as long as you can though so it is still important to pick up a BioGuard Arctic Blue Winter Kit and add these chemicals in addition to what we add before we get there. There are two BioGuard Arctic Blue Winter Kits, which we will help you purchase according to the size of your pool. You will need to plan to add these chemicals and run your pool for about 48 hours before we arrive to close it, or before you begin the closing.winterKit-lEach kit contains:
    • Arctic Blue® Algae Protector
    • Arctic Blue Shock
    • Winterizing instructions
    • $8 in Valuable Coupons

2.Pick the right pool cover! If you have an above ground pool, you should have a 4ft overlap, 5ft for in-grounds. At Advanced Spa And Pool, we only carry the best in the industry. We have AccuShield and GLI pool covers to fit any pool type and size.

There are 3 different pool covers to choose from; the deluxe, the supreme, and the ultra.

The Deluxe cover is black, and has an 8 year warranty.

The Supreme cover is green, and has a 12 year warranty.

The Ultra cover is blue, and has an impressive 20 year warranty.

3. Gizzmos, skimmer plates, plugs, etc..

We carry everything you need to close your pool, including the strong Aquadoor skimmer faceplate. At ASAP you will NEVER hear us recommend using a gizzmo in an above ground pool. Pick up an Aquadoor to install onto your skimmer (which we can also do during liner changes or when we open your pool in some cases) and save yourself the cost in the spring of needing to replace your pool wall. 2014_03_19_001

4. Lastly but most importantly, Balance your pool water!!!!

You’ve voted us Best Pool Company of Greater Nashua again for 2015 and we thank you! You have all made this a great year for all of us at Advanced Spa And Pool! We hope you have a stress free winter and we’ll see you in the spring!
